Mini Brioche Meatball Subs

Turn our soft mini hot dog brioche buns into incredible mini meatball subs, perfect for the kids or when entertaining. Get cooking today!

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Line a tray with baking paper.

  2. To make the meatballs, combine all of the ingredients in a bowl. Roll tablespoonfuls of the mixture into balls. You should get 18 balls.

  3. Heat the oil in a large heavy-based frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and cook, turning occasionally for 4 – 5 minutes or until just cooked through.

  4. Spread the cut sides of the Toscano Mini Hot Dog Brioche Buns with butter. Add a spoonful of sauce to each bun, top with 3 meatballs, a little more sauce and cheese.

  5. Place the filled buns on the prepared tray and bake for 3 – 5 minutes until cheese melts. Remove and top with fresh basil. Serve immediately.
